Did you know that every last Thursday of the month we give 30% of our food sales to Basic Rights Oregon? We do this every month and all you have to do is come have dinner knowing that the profits will go straight to BRO to help spread equality across the state.
We started this program in March of 2010 and thanks to you have raised almost $2500!
The idea came from a desire to contribute to our local community. So often we take part in nationally organized fundraisers and it occurred to us that we could easily do it ourselves down at the local level.
There's not too much to say about it. On the last Thursday of every month we simply add up the receipts from our food sales and cut a check for 30% of it to Basic Rights. The more people who dine the more we give.
If there's one night a month to come out this certainly is a good one. With just four more months this year we've already started thinking about who to make our charity next year.
