New Year's Eve and Day at Gilt

Chris just put the finishing touches on a beautiful six-course menu for New Year's Eve. It kind of makes us want to fast-forward to December 31 so we can taste the foie gras terrine with honeycomb and pineapple upside-down cake, and see what Pigeon ballotine with black rice and pickled quince looks like. Chris has really outdone himself this time. Plus for entertainment we've got DJ IZM back again this year for the 4th year in a row, spining low fi, electronica, funk and soul from 9 to 1 to set the mood.

We're also going to be open New Year's Day. We'll have a special menu featuring egg dishes (steak and eggs, eggs with house-made sausage, eggs benedict), and we'll have our house bloody martinis for $5 all night. Start 2011 out right!
